The secret is out! The Secret Society Girl series is now a tetralogy.
Check out the Publisher’s Marketplace announcement:
Author of SECRET SOCIETY GIRL and the upcoming UNDER THE ROSE Diana Peterfreund’s next two books in the series, following an Ivy League senior’s spring break on her society’s private island, and her final challenges in tapping a new class of knights, graduating from college, and maybe even falling in love, again to Kerri Buckley at Bantam Dell, by Deidre Knight at The Knight Agency (NA).
(Please note: the above color scheme is nothing more than a figment of the author’s imagination. Actual covers may not match.)
Thank you to everyone who read and enjoyed Secret Society Girl. Your support has meant so much to me.
Happy day!

SWEET! was that the redacted news from Friday??? Fabulous news. I’d drink champagne in your honor, but I hear tell that’s not good for 6 month old fetus

OMG Diana! Congratulations! Can’t wait to get my hands on UNDER THE ROSE to see how’s Amy’s adventures continue…
The third book sounds so interesting…private island…hmm. So only a 4 book series, huh? (pout) I hope you have another kick-ass series planned…we need more Diana!

Cider, jami. Cider…
Yep,a four book series, Dona. Girl’s got to graduate sometime, huh? And then maybe I’ll try something shocking, like a standalone!
Thanks, Alex!

Very happy for you, Diana!! Woo-hoo! Congrats!!!
February 12, 2007 at 10:30 pm
Yay!
I loved the first one. Now I know I’ll have three more to enjoy. ^_^
Not that I’m complaining, but it seems the single-title standalone book is slowly dying out in this genre. I can’t remember the last book that I liked that didn’t at least pop out one sequel.

HURRAH! Congratulations, Diana.

AWESOME! Congrats!

And then she joins the Royal Imperial Guard. Cue Darth Vader music.

Cue Darth Vader music.
Remember, it also serves as an excellent Wedding March…
Have you discussed it to SB yet?

Have you discussed it to SB yet?
Clearly that is how I intended it and it she be taken as such. Possibly you could also discuss it AT him. Yes, that is what I meant. I certainly didn’t me to put ‘with’ in there.

Oh, Diana – this is just wonderful major congratulations. Love your question mark covers. I think in honor of Maureen Dowd, one of them should be pink.
Can’t wait to hear what you have planned for your standalone book : ) Of course, there’s always grad school
February 13, 2007 at 1:54 pm
Fabulous news, Diana! I’m so glad the series will continue for a couple more books. Just love me some Amy.
February 13, 2007 at 2:16 pm
Again, I’m so very very tickled for you! Congrats!!
February 13, 2007 at 3:00 pm
I’m so, so excited and happy for you! And for me, because now I get to read more DP books!! Major congrats!!!
February 13, 2007 at 3:24 pm
Whee! How exciting! The saga of my heartthrob Amy goes on! (And my heartthrob will go on…sounds like a song, doesn’t it?)
Am also pleased to know that I guessed right about the island when you asked us all what we thought would lie in Amy’s future. I can’t wait to read all about it!
Extra! Extra! Two extra Amy books! Yay!!
February 13, 2007 at 4:18 pm
Congratulations!!! You rule!!! Woo hoo!!
Though can’t you call it a quartet? Secret Society Girl Quartet is so much classier.
February 13, 2007 at 4:38 pm
Quartet makes me think of four Amys, in different capes, singing bass, tenor, alto and soprano. Just me?
February 13, 2007 at 4:50 pm
That’s cause you ain’t literary. Makes me think of The Alexandria Quartet
February 13, 2007 at 5:35 pm
Clearly your publisher will have to market the series BOTH ways: The Rose & Grave Tetralogy for the Tolkien/LOR types, and The Amy Quartet for the literary types. Who knows, perhaps your die-hard fans will want to buy both versions, thereby doubling your sales in one swell foop!
February 13, 2007 at 5:39 pm
congratulations Diana! I just got my daily email from Publisher’s Lunch, and your deal was specifically mentioned among the 30 new deals that were recently done that I could read about if I wanted to pay $30.00 a month to subscribe.

The correct word is –
Quadrilogy
(And cider isn’t always smart for pregnant women. Most cider isn’t pastuerized.)
February 14, 2007 at 2:17 am
Diana–such great news!
February 15, 2007 at 3:14 pm

February 15, 2007 at 8:33 pm
Hey, congratulations on the tetralogy!
February 17, 2007 at 1:58 pm
