Hi there,

If you happen to like classic tv shows (including 70s and 80s), I need your help. I'm one of the panelists of Hulu Award, and this week I need some opinion on nominating classic tv shows. Please visit my blog if you are interested in giving your opinion on the best classic tv shows. Thank you. :)

Oh and of course, you can also help me nominate your favorite tv shows in other categories in the next few weeks if you want to.

That quiz was messed up, because I did all 45 questions and it STILL gave me "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington." Yeah, I'm all about altruism and the greater good. Can anyone be more self-centered than I am and still be likeable? I think not.

I feel sorry for anyone getting tired of or fed up with Lost. I want some answers as much as anyone, but the characterization and sophistication of the show would keep me hooked for a good long while even without answers. It's sad to lose that excitement, sadder to never have it. (Note to self: chill, it's only TV).

Plus, Damon Lindelhof said we get answers, but also more questions. I love the puzzle pieces we're given. I also love the total fanatics who memorize all the shows and tell the rest of us stuff like the guy who died when Jack saved Sarah is named Rutherford, and Shannon-on-the-island is named Rutherford, and she said last season that her dad died a while ago in an accident. I can't wait to see how everyone is connected.

As much as I love the movie Sunset Boulevard (and am looking forward to the remake with Ewan McGregor, Glenn Close and Hugh Jackman) it said that I was "obsessed with fame and fortune" and I don't think defines me at all. Although I did use to play "Solid Gold" in the mirror with a fake mic in the 80s. *eg*

You know M, you sound just like Sailor Boy, who warned me yesterday that this series, which he calls "all foreplay" will disappoint me in the payoff, just as I was eventually disappointed in the "conclusion" (no resolution, no answers, no precious "truth") of The X Files.

In fact, when the teaser for next week aired, he said, "Show's over! Yay!"

He's not really a Lost fan, to say the least. I think it might be wearing on me a bit too, but mostly because at this point I can't imagine the mystery being anything worth all of this, and also because I'm still scarred by XF.

And I'm so glad I'm not the only one who spotted Heather's inner darkness. ;-)

You know, Lost is going to lose me if they don't start giving out some answers. They've got mysteries w/i mysteries and I'm getting bored with the constant tension. There's not much payoff at the moment.

Are you hooked for the whole season or is the constant mystery wearing on you too?

M

Diana, where do you come up with these tests? :)

Seriously... I'm Apocalypse Now? Those of you who know me, do you sense a heart of darkness lurking beneath this perky exterior?

P.S. Congrats, Gina!

Hey, Gina! hey, everyone, did you know that GINA IS A DORCHESTER AMERICAN TITLE II FINALIST?!?!?!?!

Well, now you do! Woo hoo, Gina!

You know what they have on their list that I would have been happy with, if they hadn't seen fit to dub me with the most awesomest movie ever (and Julie, don't think I didn't catch your reference on the TARA loop today!) -- EASY RIDER.

In passing, I now have a printed list of those AFI top 100 movies I blogged about a few weeks ago, and I am slowly checking them off. Not Schindler's List, though. Shiver. But I did see The Maltese Falcon and On the Waterfront, and I've got Chinatown coming in the mail today.

And I was Schindler's List. I've never had the nerve to watch it, so I'm not sure why. I was hoping to be something lighthearted and romantic. I know that's so not me really, but then maybe something a bit wacky like Harold and Maude (which probably isn't even in their database).

Wow, Julie, you're totally not Platoon. Maybe you were in a bad mood or something when you took the test? You're more... North by Northwest.
